The Dreaded Split Ends.

I've got to that stage again where I want to grow my hair long. But as you know, I have very curly hair, I'm not entirely sure if it will work out as well as I would hope. My only problem is, is that my ends are awful! And by awful, I mean they are shockingly horrendous. It's disgusting. Vile in fact. I don't brush my hair-this is most likely the main factor of my shocking hair condition. But if I do brush my wild mess of hair, I end up looking like an electrical experiment that's gone wrong. We’re talking major frizz. So brushing isn't really an option for me, unless I like the lion look.

But then again it could be the hair products I use. Maybe if I tried a 'Deep Conditioning', or a 'Damaged Hair' one, maybe all my problems would vanish? But again that is not an option, I need my Anti-Fizz 'stuff', otherwise - well - let's just say it is not a good look.
So, to tell you the truth, I'm a wee bit afraid of my next visit to the hairdressers. The person who would be chopping (!) my hair off, will most likely see my ends, gag, and then chop about three inches off. So then my hopes of having lavish long hair will be down the drain, so it all seems a tiny bit of a waste.

I really don't know what could be a good solution to this. They say that the more you cut your hair, the faster it grows..? But i this really true? I don't know. Anyone know of any god 'remedies'??
