If your one of those girls (or guys) that love to go swimming, but are blonde and prone to your hair going green after a couple of hours of pool time, well I know exactly how you feel! Green isn't the most attractive and popular hair colour out there, but when you are prone to this 'greenness' the most you can do to prevent this is to be forced into wearing swimming caps or just generally just stay away from the pool. But here are a few home remedies to help you get rid of the green tinting in your blonde hair, or someone else's. I recommend trying them all and seeing which one is easier and more affective for you.
(Make sure you test an area of your skin to make sure your not allergic.)
Aspirin:
Yes aspirin is normally a pain relief, but believe it or not it gets rid of the green tint! Just place three ordinary aspirins in a glass of warm water and allow them to dissolve. Soak the hair in the aspirin water for around 15 minutes then rinse out (the green should come along with it), then wash and condition as usual.

Tomato Juice:
Yes you've got that right. Tomato juice. It is said to remove the green tint leaving it shiny and manageable. Apparently the acid helps remove the colouring. All you need is about 8 ounces (227 grams) of tomato juice in a plastic cup and take into the shower, (Don't worry, you don't need to spend ages squeezing tomato, you can buy it in cartons in supermarkets). Before washing, soak the hair in the juice and leave it in the hair for a few minutes. Thoroughly rinse out then wash and condition as usual.

Lemon Juice:
This works in almost the same way as the tomato. The citric acid helps remove hard metal stains and the unwanted green tint. Simply soak the hair in lemon juice, leave for a while to set then rinse out, and wash and condition as usual.

Baking of Soda:
This is a wonderful product and is used for many cleaning and beauty purposes. Simply make a paste with shampoo and the baking soda, and apply t your hair. Leave it on your hair for several minutes and then thoroughly rinse out. Shampoo and condition as usual.

Hope this helps my fellow blondes with their green tints!
