Moving House.

Were moving! I'm so excited! Do you know what this means readers? I no longer live in rented military house, and live in one where I can actually paint the walls, and stick as many pictures/posters/clips etc as I like! The house my parents settled on is in a lovely Cotswold town, and the house is newly built but in the style of a cottage. So it's modern but without it being too modern. It's absolutely fab!

So, instinctivly as soon as they told me, I started plannig what my room wil be like. Were on quite a budget so no masive room makeovers, just small little accents that I ma change.

Looking at wallpaper designs on the Internet, I realised that they are all quite similar - either flowers or 'grown-up' patterns. And being a teenager, and one who likes to express her individuality through everything I decided to look for a more eccentric design. Many wallpaper and paint websites and shops stock some different designs and I settled on one with tree trunks running up the walls.

Looking back on some of my previous posts I realised they are going to come in handy very muchly. The one regarding fairy lights and bohemian style rooms are possibly the ones that I will pay most attention to. Another blog that I really love reading is House of Anais. Many of you may have seen, read or follow her. It's absolutely fab, and she does wonderful posts about house design and interior decorating so I will probably find myself indulging in her posts.

Another thing I've found myself doing is reading home magazines. I didn't think I would be doing this for about another 5 or more years, when I buy my own home. But they have great idea's for home design. They have wallpaper/paint idea's, room displays, and also loads of bits & bobs that can make your room feel much more homely. A great read is Elle Design, and I recommend picking up a copy next time your scowering the magazine isle for your next read!

Fairy Lights

Fairy lights are possibly one of my most favourite things at the moment. I have some in my room at home, and then some in my dorm at school and I plan to get more for my room soon! I love them so much, as do many people, as they can completely change the mood of a room and make it seem much more homely and fun.

You can get them in countless colours and designs, varying from bright orange's and pinks to white, and from simple normal lights to crazy designs like cupcakes (which I have!). I often find myself lighting all the many candles in my room and tunring off all my lights except my fairy lights and it's just so lovely. It sets such a lovely tone a mood and makes any room, be it a bedroom or kitchen, so much more relaxing and calming. Some people only have them out at Christmas and maybe other occasions which is fair enough, but I think thats they're so nice they should be out all year round!

If your think of putting them up in your bedroom, they look great wrapped around the end of the bed around the wires (provided you have a bed that can provide this) they also look great resting on a shelf, or just tacked onto the wall. For a kitchen they look lovely draped over the window of window sill, and also of the top of food cabinets and counters; the possibilities are endless!

Bohemian Bedrooms

One thing I really love is planning what my first house/apartment will be like, and when I go round shops I'm always like, 'I WANT THAT!!'....knowing that I couldnt have it now, but maybe one day I possibly could?

I love love love dark colours, different patterns and textures and lot's of clashing and it's the sort if look I have going on in my room right now, but browsing on the internet for idea's I found some great room that looks so cool, and make me so jealous! The bohemian look is really in at the moment and whether you have a blank canvas with lots of pictures, blankets, and accesories, or whether you have a dark coloured wall with less "bit's & bob's" it always looks amazing and really cool!

Charity Shops: The Hidden Gem.

One of the annoying things about boarding school? Not being able to post as frequently, so I'm sorry.

I have started to gather a slight obsession with charity shops. (I think in th US their called thrift shops? Corre

ct me if I'm wrong.) Many people would turn their nose up at such things, and would think that wearing the clothes of someone else is weird and maybe kind of gross. But personally I love them!

There are so many round where I live, and the best thing is, is that they're all completely different and you not likely to have the same clothes as anybody else. They're full of little nik-naks and old clothes that could possibly come back inot fashion.Many of my friends question how I find things in there, and to be honest if you go in there knwing the kind of things your looking for and with an open mind you are likely to find something.

I could honestly spend hours in them trying things on, looking at things that are possible on the wierd and maybe distgustind side and working out if I could do anything to make it nicer.

I honestly reccomend anyone going into one and having a browse because you'll be suprised at what you can find in there. Over the past couple of months I have been very fortunate with my findings, I would go into them but I don't think you'd be that intersted.

My Newest Fashion Find.

Sorry for the absence - I've been bust with school...):

These cute little pixie shoes are my newest and most fondest fashion find. I got them whilst in Belgium at my friends house (which was amazing!) we were shopping around the town, and due to how expensive the Euro is, wasn't expecting to find anything - appart from maybe a belgium waffle.

But I found these beautys in Forever 21reduced to 12 Euros from probably about 25. (Sorry, I don't have a Euro symbol on my computer?!)

I love them so much! They're so cute, and suprisingly go with a lot more than you'd think...

Review: Witch Anti-Blemish Tinted Moisturiser.

Hello hello!

So this is my first ever review and it's quite exciting! So here goes: so I got this tinted moisturiser for my birthday from my mum. I love it, so I thought I'd say what I love about it.

Personally I am quite a spotty person and have tried hundreds of skin care products and have finally found the right routine (with some help from the doctor), but being prone to spots its been hard to find a foundation or concealer that is one: in my price range, two: the right colour, and three: doesn't make my spots worse. I haven't been very productive, but I'm sure the more expensive ones are great and work well but I obviously cannot afford them... But then my mum got me this. I have quite a dry face, and without enough moisturiser my skin becomes tight and dry so I do need a lot, and for me this doesn't have enough moisture in it to satisfy my face so I use my normal Simple everyday moisturiser and then the tinted. But it may be okay for you, so I recommend trying it before you jump right in.

They have an okay range of colours, but for my funny skin they have a great colour. I use 01 Light and it seems to work well for me. I have quite a pale, but slightly pinky complexion so this works well at giving me a more matte look. I find that if you have an area that you really want covered (a large blemish, or bags etc), add a dab of foundation or concealer with your finger to the area works well just as long as the colour is right!

WARNING: remember it isn't foundation so it isn't going to cover your face, and all the pimples - what it does is give you a more matte look, control shine and provide medium coverage and moisturisation.

Why Buy:

- It has witch hazel as a main ingredient. Witch hazel is a well known ingredient used for helping treat spots and blemishes.

- The colour is good. It gives good coverage without being cake like and orange.

- Controls shine. Gives a more matte look, controlling the shine on your face.

- Has antibacterial activities. Great!

- It's only £5.99 (In Boots)

Why Not Buy:

- It isn't very moisturising. I need to use moisturiser as well as it.

- Doesn't last that long. It does fade after a while.

In conclusion I would recommend buying this product. It's great! If your young, or if you don't like wearing foundation this will be great for you. It's a really good price, but make sure you get the right colour for you skin other wise it wont be good and you could end up looking quite orange...

Marilyn Monroe. She is one of THE most idolised women in history. She has had countless movies made about her. She has thousands of women striving to look like her, and to try and get her magnificent hair do. Over the years, many people have had the opportunity to play Marilyn, the most recent is Michelle Williams and she is the best Marilyn I have seen. She has got the hair perfect, and she looks very similar to the original icon. I can't wait to see this movie, it looks absolutely fab! It looks romantic, sad and possibly funny at time. Out in theatures now!

Marilyn Monroe has inpired many women across the globe with the way they look. Many women have looks that resmble, or are inspired by the way she looked. Scarlett Johansson donned a Monroe inspired look for the D&G adverts, Rihanna for her Vogue UK cover shoot. Also, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Christtine Aguilara and Lady Gaga have famously been inspired by the beautiful woman.

'Tis The Season

Apologies for my recent absence, I'm afraid I have been busy and haven't managed to do any posts recently.

Christmas is drawing near and I couldnt be more excited. I LOVE Christmas, everything about it. I love the great food, the cosiness, the family time and obviously presents. But one of my most favourite things, as I'm sure it is with most people, is the decorations and the tree. Doesn't matter what 'kind' of decorations you like, your home will look beautiful! My family and I have always stuck around a red/purple and gold theme, some people have a silver theme, some have gold, some have multi coloured some base theirs around how their home looks anyway, and some just have evrything - from handmade decs, to sparkly shop bought ones.

You cannot have a Christmas without a Christmas tree, and I personally prefer having a real and natural tree compared to an artificial tree. I think the smell you get with the real one is a major factor, altough the little pine cones that end up on the floor are a nuissance. Fake trees just aren't the same though.

Here are some simple tree decorating idea's for those who fancy a change, or are stuck for ideas!

Hi all. So I have just seen these shoes in Schuh and they're amazing! I personally would'nt wear these shoes, but they are very beautiful. They are perfect for a christmassy pick me up, and have a very similar resemblance to Dorothys shoes in The Wizard Of Oz. The heel isn't too high which makes it easier to walk! They are so cute, and would be great for Halloween this year!

They cost only £65 from Red or Dead and Schuh. They're so cute!! What do you think?

Autumnal Colours: I'm in love.

Happy autumn! Autumn happens to be my favourite season. I love the colours, the weather, the clothes, everything! I love the dark, but not dull colours, and how they are dark but still bright and colourful. In England, autumn is lovely, the leaves all on the ground give the streets and parks such a beautiful colour. It's also not too cold but definitley hot so it's the time of year where you start bringing out the coats and scarfs in preparation for winter!!

This year I am really loving the colours and the styles. There are lot's of dark wine reds, burnt oranges, plums, dark olive greens, yellows and different shade of browns. They're absolutely beautiful and are found in almost everything. I've been completely sucked in by this colour fest and had bought a wine red dress and jeans, a burnt orange jumper, a cinnamon jumper and my bedding is dark plum! I'm slightly osessed...

Pretty Little Liars - Aria Montgomery's Look

A look I'm really loving at the moment is the character from Pretty Little Liars called Aria Montgomery. She is played by Lucy Hale, and is by far my favorite in the fashion stakes. If you don't watch the show, Aria recently moved back to Rosewood after living in Iceland for a year, she happens to be dating her English teacher Ezra Fitz, and also has some issues at home. Also, if you don't watch the show: watch it!!

Aria's clothes consist of lots of dark colours such as dark plum, reds, browns and lots of black. Accessories are very important for achieving this look, think long pendant necklaces, or maybe wearing more than one. Also long earrings in all kinds of designs; feathers, hoops, anything! And belts! She wears lots of girly dresses that are fitted around the waist and finish just above the knee, but she makes this girly look edgyer with aspects such as leather jackets, boots and bold hoisery. Aria wears lots of patterned tights and socks, she will often be seen in knee high socks. (Topshop are great for them!)

As for her make-up, Aria wears quite dark eye make-up one day and the next she will be quite natural. Play around with your make-up, and try and grasp how to do smokey eyes (there are many tutorials on YouTube). If you want your hair to be styled in the same way, curl the ends with big curling tongs to make a more natural curl.

The key aspect to getting this look right is the colours, you will never see her wearing bright colours! Layering is also important. But most importantly, be bold!

Knee highs. Thigh highs. They're a must have for this Autumn and are making their way through our high street shops. You can wear them with almost everything, and look great with dresses. They originally became popular in the 1960's and 1970's with the mini-skirt, then becoming associated with school uniforms and they are now a fashion item. Knee highs offer a versatility with an outfit. For example, if you want to wear a pretty dress but don't want to look too girly, knee highs add that bit of rebelliousness to your outfit. They also make PERFECT festival wear (bit late) as they are great with shorts, and look wicked with wellies!

Wellies: The English Essential. Hot or Not?

When living in England, or anywhere in the UK, you must own a pair of wellies. They are essential due to our poor weather. When I was younger I remember having wellies purely for the purpose of being able to splash is puddles, but now they have become a lot more than that. They are worn endlessly at festivals, in the snow and of course in the rain. They have also become a bit of a fashion statement. Do you go for traditional green, or do you go for bright and vibrant?
